Design challenges

  • 01An open floorplate with a 2.9-second reverberation time.
  • 02Forty people, six meeting typologies, one floor.
  • 03A brand that refused anything that read as 'tech office'.

Final outcome

Reverberation reduced to 0.6 seconds without a single suspended ceiling tile. Post-occupancy surveys reported a 41% improvement in perceived focus.

Materials used

  • Blackened mild steel
  • Wool felt acoustic panels
  • American walnut, quarter-sawn
  • Honed concrete
  • Antique brass pendants

Client feedback

Clients walk in and lower their voices. That was the whole brief.
